Hi, I'm Joe Unger.
I grew up in Centerville, Ohio, where I played high school football alongside several future NFL players, including A.J. Hawk of the Green Bay Packers and Mike Nugent of the New York Jets.
Marshall Football Career
After high school, I continued my football career at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, where I played for legendary head coach Bobby Pruett and the Marshall Thundering Herd.
During my time at Marshall I had the opportunity to play alongside several great athletes who later made it to the NFL, including Ahmad Bradshaw of the New York Giants and Jonathan Goddard of the Detroit Lions.

Education and Career
After graduating from Marshall University with two college degrees, I decided to stay in the Huntington area and build my career here.
I began working in a dual role as both an insurance agent and financial advisor, helping individuals and families plan for their financial futures.
Why I Became an Independent Agent
After five years in the industry, I realized the community deserved more personal service and more options than what many traditional insurance companies provide.
That's when I made the decision to stop serving insurance companies and start serving the people in my community as an independent insurance agent.
As an independent agent, I'm able to compare coverage options from multiple insurance companies and help clients across West Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky find the right protection at the best price.
Family and Community
My wife and I now live in Proctorville, Ohio with our two beautiful daughters, and we're proud to call the Tri-State area home.
